Maintaining a safe working environment and minimising the risk of cross-contamination are essential requirements for every dental practice. Anthos dental units meet this need with state-of-the-art integrated disinfection systems, which can be managed in a simple and customisable way via the control panel.
Active systems for circuit purity
The electronics of Anthos dental units allow the operator to have full control over a series of automated systems that guarantee the hygiene of the internal ducting:
-
W.H.E. and BIOSTER: the combined action of the certified continuous disinfection system (W.H.E.) and the intensive automatic BIOSTER cycle (based on Peroxy Ag+) has recorded bacterial loads equal to zero in the cooling liquids. This result is certified by Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Turin.
-
FLUSHING and A.C.V.S.: the FLUSHING system allows for a rapid rinse of the spray ducts to eliminate stagnant liquids when opening the practice. The A.C.V.S. instead provides automatic washing and disinfection of the suction system, ideal for sanitising the equipment between patients.
-
S.H.S. and O.D.R.: the independent S.H.S. tank supplies the sprays with distilled water to prevent limescale formation, whilst the O.D.R. mechanism automatically emits an airflow to remove residues from the handpieces after use.
A design approach oriented towards protection
In addition to active technologies, Anthos has developed a design that facilitates the passive cleaning of surfaces, making them practical and effective. The use of removable elements – such as extractable double filters, cannula guides, detachable spittoons, and autoclavable components – is combined with durable materials and seamless upholstery.
Choosing Anthos technology means investing in a safe and reliable ecosystem, tailor-made to protect the health of the professional, the operating team, and the patients.
